چکیده

An analysis of the elastic scattering of deuterons on 6,7Li, 27Al, 54,56,58Fe, 63,65Cu, and 93Nb for energies from 3 to 60MeV has been carried out using a semi-microscopic optical potential which consists of a Coulomb term, a real double-folding (DF) potential, a phenomenological imaginary potential and a spin-orbit component. No normalization constant was involved in this work for the DF real potential, in order to emphasize the effects of further corrections requested by a satisfactory description of the experimental data. Moreover, an empirical non-locality correction to the microscopic real potential has been added in the case of the d + 6Li scattering. By taking into account also the dispersion correction, a good agreement of the experimental and semi-microscopic elastic scattering angular distribution has been obtained. The imaginary and spin-orbit potential parameters obtained by the semimicroscopic data analysis have been kept fixed within a second step of the present analysis, in order to obtain a full phenomenological optical potential needed for applications. As a global result, one may note differences of about 10–15% between the deuteron reaction cross sections corresponding to the present improved optical potential and those obtained using the default input parameters within the TALYS code, while enlarged changes are shown by the calculated elastic-scattering angular distributions. The differences with respect to the evaluated total reaction cross sections of the ACSELAM library are about 25–30%.

Low and medium energy deuteron - induced reactions on 63 , 65 Cu nuclei

The activation cross sections of (d,p), (d,2n), (d,3n), and (d,2p) reactions on 63,65Cu were measured in the energy range from 4 to 20 MeV using the stacked-foil technique. Then, following the available elastic-scattering data analysis that provided the optical potential for reaction cross-section calculations, an increased effort was devoted to the breakup mechanism, direct reaction stripping,...

Kinematical Ambiguities in Scattering by Deuteron

We discuss the kinematical ambiguities occurring in the definition of the twobody amplitudes in particle-deuteron scattering. We show how the ,value of the energy parameter is uniquely determined through the proper reduction from the three-body to the two-body matrix elements. This ,value is compared to previously used prescriptions, and shown to give superior fitting when compared with experim...

Bethe–Salpeter Approach with the Separable Interaction for the Deuteron

Recent developments of the covariant Bethe–Salpeter (BS) approach with the use of the separable interaction for the deuteron are reviewed. It is shown that the BS formalism allows a covariant description of various electromagnetic reactions like the lepton-deuteron scattering, deuteron electro-disintegration, deep inelastic scattering (DIS) of leptons on light nuclei. The procedure of the const...

Beam polarization measurement in scattering experiments with a high accuracy and the lowest possible cost is an important issue. In this regard, deuteron beam polarization was measured in the low-energy beam line easily with a relatively low cost procedure and in a very short time by Lamb Shift Polarimeter (LSP). Also, the beam polarization has been measured in high-energy beam line with BINA. ...

Neutron-induced deuteron production from light nuclei at 800 MeV

The deuteron sepctra from {n,d) reactions at 800 MeV near 0' are characterized by a high energy quasielastic scattering peak, and at lower momentum, a quasifree scattering peak. The ratio of the quasifree to quasielastic cross sections is approximately 10:1.Both cross sections exhibit an A '" mass dependence over the range of target nuclei studied. Comparisons are made with corresponding proton...
